The last decade has witnessed the prison population increasing considerably. In addition we have seen the evolution of effective public protection services designed to assist the offender client manage his/her risks more effectively when released from custody.

Pathway Psychological Services believe in effective joined-up working to ensure the offender client’s needs are met and the public are properly protected. We have experience of working with offender clients and Offender Managers under MAPPA 1-3 criteria from the assessment phase, through to working with MAP Coordinators and Offender Managers in the community.

Pathway Psychological Services offer advice and consultancy for MAPPA. In addition we develop effective individualized risk management plans. We can help you make sense of the recommendations of post treatment reports, and provide expert guidance on what measures are necessary in a practical sense.

In particular we have experience of dealing with offender clients who present the highest dynamic risks; potentially current unhelpful sexual and/or violent fantasy. Pathway Psychological Services can provide training, ongoing consultancy and support to Offender Managers in the community who supervise high risk offender clients.
